“Are You Ready To Pass Clean Over Jordan”
I have been watching and reading the Words of many prophets for the year 2010. Most all are in agreement that it is a time of transition for the church. I believe that God is transitioning His people to prepare them for the next great move of God on the earth. I believe we are about to witness one of the most exciting times in history for the church. I have entitled this Word “Are You Ready To Pass Clean Over Jordan.” For most of us as Christians, the Jordan represents a place of “Passing Over” or “Crossing Over” if you prefer. In order to understand this statement, you must understand the journey taken by the “Children of Israel” as they made their incredible journey from Egypt to the “Promised Land.” This story can be found in the pages of the Bible from Exodus through Joshua and it teaches us so very much about how God deals with His people to prepare them for change or transition.
Over the past Season, we have seen much shifting and many changes in the Body of Christ. Some of us have sat silently by, for the major part of the time, and watched as many have been pushing and shoving to gain position and what they perceive to be “Power” in the Kingdom of God. However, what many have failed to realize is that all “Power” is “God’s Power” and man can never possess that power; he can only be used as a vessel for the “Power” to be released through. Within ourselves, we cannot heal the sick, nor can we perform miracles; but with and through God, all things are possible.
I believe that the Body of
Christ as a whole is in agreement that we are in a time of transition to a “New
Season” for the church. All those that we have spoken with agree that God is
about to usher us into a Season of Power and Glory unlike we have seen in our
lifetime, even those of us who are elders in the church. The question I would like to ask each of you is, “Are you ready to pass
clean over Jordan?”
In
Joshua 3:17 “And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD
stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed
over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.” I
want you to focus on the word “clean”. I cannot stress how important it is for
God’s people to begin to clean up the church. In Paul’s writings to the
Ephesians, he stresses this point. Ephesians 5:25-27 …………. “even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That
he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word, That he
might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or
any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”
Are you ready to make a clean transition into the destiny that God has promised you? You see, you cannot make a clean transition unless you are “clean.” John and I are watching as many pastors are endeavoring to prepare their congregations for this transition into the new season. It is interesting to see the different approaches many are taking. John and I believe that many churches made the transition “clean” on February 7, 2010. If you are in one of the churches that made this transition , hold on for the ride as it is about to accelerate the “Glory” for your congregation and you don’t want to miss a thing because God is about to pour out an anointing like you have never witnessed before. Get into the Word of God and let the “Water of Life” cleanse and prepare you. Paul said that Christ gave Himself that He might sanctify and cleanse the church with the washing of water by the Word. We can find many scriptures that tell us about the Word and how important it is that we understand it. I have chosen some references from the Gospel of John to illustrate how important it is that we understand how to be cleansed so that we will be able to pass “clean” as we pass over our own Jordan, that which stands between us and our “Promise” that we are waiting to come to pass. Many including Moses were unable to claim the Promise because of disobedience while in the wilderness. Do not allow disobedience or anything unclean stand between you and the Promise you are waiting to enter into.
John1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the Word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the Word which I have spoken unto you. John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy Word is truth. In order for us to reach that place where we are living in the Promise that God has shown to us we must first understand how to get there. Transition and change are always difficult for individuals as this is a part of our nature and we sometimes resist change even if we know it will be better for us. If you look at how hard it is for each of us to make a transition, think about the difficulty for the church body to make a large transition; when thousands of people in one congregation need to come in one accord in order for that part of the Body to “Pass Over Clean”. The successful transition will be one in which every member is prepared and all make the transition at the same time. It will be very difficult for the church to move forward and prosper if the entire body is not prepared for the crossing.
As in every battle, make no mistake this is a battle, there can emerge only one clear leader. The leader for this transition and for all transitions in the church must clearly be the Holy Spirit. He must be your “Central Command” and the entire Body of Christ must follow Him. Out of this transition as with all transitions will emerge new leaders, as well as many who are currently in position, to lead the church into a “New Season”; a season where God will pour out His Power as has not been seen in the lifetime of the current generations. This is a very exciting time for the church, but it is important for each church to be prepared and to be able to make a “Clean Transition.”
As new Apostles, Prophets,
Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers emerge, it will be so important for the older
leaders to embrace the new. I am not
talking about new in terms of age, I am talking about new in terms of
leadership in the Kingdom work. God does not look at age as someone to retire
or He would never have used an 85 year old Moses to lead the Children of Israel
out of Egypt. As the new generation of
leaders emerge, many will be surprised to see people of all ages and many who
seem to be unlikely candidates for promotion. God has many generals who are
already trained, prepared, and waiting to be “called up” out of reserves for
such a time as this; those who are not only taught to lead, but are also taught
to follow; those who will follow the Holy Spirit through the natural realm and
into the supernatural move of God that is about to emerge. A five fold company
that is not looking for personal fame or fortune, but rather a company that
knows prosperity can only come when they are in “The Perfect Will of God” and
cannot be measured by material things. I am so excited; our God truly is an
awesome God…..
Watch this web site
for more on this subject in the coming weeks. John and I are watching as many
pastors are struggling to get their church prepared; others seem unaware of the
transition; and many have already “Passed Over Jordan Clean.” We are so blessed
to be living in this exciting era for the church. Make your crossing and hang on; it’s going to be an “Incredible Journey.”
The Grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ be with you….
Until next time….
